Bishop H. Curtis Douglas

Bishop H. Curtis Douglas is the Senior Pastor Dabar Bethlehem Cathedral in Queens Village, New York and the Presiding Prelate of Covenant Fellowship Alliance.

He has served the Lord for more than 50 years and is a faithful servant, anointed by God to preach and teach the Word.

Bishop Douglas is also an accomplished musician, composer, choir director and worship leader. He has released two albums, “Scriptures in Song” and “Amazing Things”.

He has been a Senior Pastor for almost 30 years, leading Dabar Worship Center, and now Dabar Bethlehem Cathedral.

DBC is a vibrant church that is dedicated to advancing the Kingdom of God by touching lives with God’s love and changing generations with God’s Word.

In October 2007 Bishop Donald Hilliard II consecrated him to the Bishopric. He served on the Episcopal Council of Covenant Ecumenical Fellowship & Cathedral Assemblies (CEFCA) as General Treasurer.

In June 2017 Bishop Douglas was installed as Presiding Bishop of Covenant Fellowship Alliance (formerly CEFCA).

Bishop Douglas provides leadership, mentorship and covering for many pastors and churches in the United States, Central and South America, Africa, Europe and the Caribbean.

Bishop Douglas is also active on the mission field. He believes that missions is the heart of God and over the last 20 years has led and released teams to Belize, the Dominican Republic, France, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Ghana, Poland, South Africa and Uganda.

In Ghana, Bishop Douglas and DBC have dug over 20 wells providing freshwater for several communities.

Also, he and DBC, in partnership with Love Without Walls (NGO), have built a new malaria wing to the Children’s Hospital in Suhum, Ghana, helping thousands of victims that do not have adequate healthcare.

Bishop Douglas has four children, two sons in love and three grandchildren.

The Seal of the Bishop

This episcopal seal communicates sacred authority, responsibility, and stewardship. The shield represents the bishop’s calling to guard the faith and protect the people of God. The cross and open book affirm that Christ and the Word of God stand at the center of his ministry, guiding doctrine, teaching, and conduct. The sword signifies spiritual authority and the courage to uphold truth, while the scales reflect justice, discernment, and righteous judgment exercised with wisdom and integrity.

The mitre, crozier, and keys express apostolic oversight, pastoral care, and delegated authority within the household of faith. The harp represents worship and devotion, highlighting a ministry rooted in God’s presence. The green and gold colors symbolize life, growth, and divine glory. Together, the seal presents a balanced episcopal ministry grounded in Scripture, marked by justice and worship, and exercised in faithful service to God and His people.
